Smart Phone Camera Fun

Most of the time, I'll stick my iPhone in my back pocket and use it as my go-to-point-and-shoot camera. I have several phone apps that I love, including Picture Show, Instagram and Classic Toy. The best part is that these apps are free or relatively inexpensive.

There are a ton of accessories for your iPhone, including lenses! There's a lens maker, Photojojo, that has fish eye, macro, wide angle and telephoto lenses. If you're not an iPhone user, don't worry. The lenses work for other smart phones too. Check out this quick video on how it works.

If you don't want to purchase specialty lenses, then why not buy an adapter so you can use your DSLR camera's lenses?!?! Yes, you can do that. Check out this iPhone SLR Mount by Photojojo.

Attachments like the Alm OWLE Bubo, make it possible to shoot video with a steady hand or on a tripod. It looks a lot like a video game controller, but it works well. You can also use the EnCinema iPhone SLR Lens Adapter to get a unique look.

The cool thing about gadgets, is that there are a never-ending amount of accessory gadgets to go with them. There's microphones, cases and specialty lenses too. I often wonder why I should bother with my big camera at all when there are so many options for my iPhone. However, they each have their perks. Happy shooting, whether it's with your phone, point-and-shoot or DSLR!
