Easy Release Made My Life Easier!

No More Paper Model Releases!

I used to use paper printed model releases and had them shoved in every pocket of my camera bag. If I remembered right away (chances are that I didn't), I would file them in a cabinet somewhere. There was no rhyme or reason to my model release filing system and I got really frustrated when I had to try and track them down. It wasn't fun.

After getting tired of hearing my gripe about model releases, my husband, Andy, found a clever solution. I never leave home without my iPhone. It's my brain. So Andy found an iPhone application I could use for model releases. It's called Easy Release.

For those of you who do not have an iPhone, don't despair. They now have an application for the Android.

Easy Release allows me to file a digital picture of my subject, their name, contact, birthday, gender and race. Oh, and a digital signature too! For each subject, I make a special note for the date I photographed them and what the shoot was all about. For instance, in the "shoot information" I can put Jane Doe's Sweet 16 Birthday Bash. From there, I can also use the easy-to-use search system to find my subjects by their name or the event name. Easy-peasy.

The application allows me to e-mail the model release in PDF form to me or my clients. It has the subject's picture, vitals and signature along with a witness signature. Phew!
