Busy, Busy, Busy

I'm finding more and more that the term "weekend relaxation" doesn't necessarily apply to Andy and I. Not that I mind in the least, but we have hardly any time to breathe.

This weekend started out with some shopping. Andy and I ran over to the NEX to get a new iMAC computer for the meeting room and then organized piles of paperwork at our house. Yes, it's been stacked up for quite some time. There is one thing that is certifiably true... when you are overly dedicated to your business... your "home work" begins to suffer immensely. LOL! We are finally catching up though.

We went to the stables to see our horse, Sir Prize. Andy chopped down some trees and split some fire wood, while I got a quick trail ride in. We took our good friend and her daughter out to celebrate her birthday. So it goes... and there's still more to do. (wink)

I try to find the bright side of everything. Look at what I found! It's the only flower still living in South Carolina!

I got up before dawn yesterday and today. I've been doing my best to take advantage of daylight hours to widdle down my "to-do" list. I managed to get a run in and take some early light photographs.

Before heading to my girlfriend's birthday dinner, I snapped this photograph. I set my camera on timer and put my back to the sun. I like portraits with sunbursts. I know some folks aren't fans, but sunbursts can be used in many creative ways.

Dinner was amazing. We ate at a Japanese steakhouse where they cook the food in front of you. If you've ever eaten there before, you know they throw knives and make big fires. It makes for some great entertainment and good photos.

I took this photo of Andy and Penny in the backyard. The only thing it's missing is Porter.
