Portraits for Penny

Help Penny!! Go to her store at Cafe Press right now and buy something http://www.cafepress.com/portraits4penny

After having countless litters of puppies in a mill in Missouri, Penny Lou was rescued by Stacy and her husband, Andy. Due to past abuse Penny suffered from severe anxiety, which prompted her to run from everyone. During a weekend stay at the dog-sitters, Penny escaped the fenced yard and was lost for two days. The search didn’t stop until Penny was found near railroad tracks almost dead. It was apparent that Penny had been struck in the head by a blunt object and left for dead. She was then rushed to the emergency vet where she received the best care, however, the vets said she would not make it past three days. Despite the grim prognosis, Penny underwent traumatic brain surgery and survived. It is her heroic story, which prompted this fund raiser.

Multiple-award winning photographer, Stacy Pearsall, will be taking portraits of four-legged loved ones to raise money for Penny Lou. Many families find themselves in the same terrible position as Andy and Stacy; often without the means to afford the care their furry family member’s need. Any additional money raised will be donated to the Coastal Carolina Emergency Veterinarian Hospital for families who cannot afford critical care for their pets.
